Oak Barrel Media is a boutique consulting firm focusing on publisher revenue operations. With a combined 20 years of experience in maximizing publisher revenue through programmatic advertising, we consider ourselves tenured in the business. Robust connections on the demand side paired with a proven methodology for optimizing and managing yield have given a winning track record to our clients. Starting at the ad server and ending in billing, we are capable of managing the entire ad stack in a manner bespoke to a publisher’s desires and product interests. OBM is well versed in mobile web, desktop, in app, data, and video inventory executions.

Over the course of many years, we’ve dedicated our time to publishers of all sizes. While we mainly focus on medium to larger pubs, we’ve also effectively worked with smaller sites with high value audiences. On the other end of the spectrum, we’ve also consulted with publicly traded companies and run day-to-day operations on ComScore top ten properties. We are well-versed in monetizing UGC as well as curated content. Our customer list features many comScore 100 sites.

  • Programmatic Revenue Managed Services

We manage the entirety of the programmatic life cycle from on page execution to final exchange billing. Our services are designed to dovetail with product and business strategies, whether that is UX focused or maximizing revenue. We work alongside development, product, finance, and management teams to continually optimize ad execution, ad stack, and yield to support the entirety of the programmatic advertising business.

Our typical clients hire us to run the day-to-day operations surrounding programmatic inventory and advise on strategic initiatives. We act as a senior in-house full programmatic team to handle exchange and advertising implementation, partner management, yield management, and reporting. We leverage our decades of experience and partnerships to increase revenue.

  • Audits and Strategic Consulting

For some larger customers, we will do a deep dive into the ad stack, performance, and execution of the programmatic ad execution. The deliverables are typically trending, comparative analysis, suggestions on improvement, and a tactical plan to deliver against goals.

  • Licensing and Acquisition

We fully license the monetization rights to employ our ad stack. The largest differentiation between this and our managed service is that we pay for the exclusive access to the inventory. We also acquire small to medium sized apps and sites that we roll into our owned and operated list.
